The very first Blue Meadow Bride July 01, 2015 16:35
Having just celebrated my third wedding anniversary it seems only right for me to share with you all the very first Blue Meadow Bride...me! When I couldn't find a bridal adornment that suited my Anoushka G sequined gown from Forever Bridal, I decided to make my own. I used antique lace from my christening gown as a template and began designing an adornment to compliment the beaded detail under the bust of my gown.
Our ceremony was in a beautiful hand built monastery near the Provencal town of Sisteron, we spent the week celebrating in a gorgeous traditional french country house in Banon. It was the most perfect week, we ate beautiful food, took in the amazing views and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the south of France.
The nuns were an unexpected addition to the ceremony, and they sang the most beautiful hymns in French. I made my own flowers and button holes after sending my husband on a trek to Marseille for red roses. My husband George wore a pale grey suit from Remus Uomo and Italian leather shoes.
